Do your basics well, SET clear expectations and processes, MAINTAIN those expectations with consistent engagement with the coalface doing inspections, meetings, site walks etc. AND COMMUNICATE between contractors, COMMUNICATE with public and other stakeholders, COMMUNICATE with your own crew.

2. For Individuals - You Take You With You

Grab ANY opportunity you are presented with to develop your personal skill set. Your employer may need to plug a skills gap in the project, but you keep those skills for life.

This will keep your services in demand, after the boom slows.
